360° Video: Rappelling Off A Cliff

posted in: 360 Video, Article | 2

First real adventure with the 360° camera; rappelling down the tallest cliff at Mohonk Preserve only an hour and a half north of NYC.

Originally, this weekend was supposed to be a winter alpine traverse much further north in Maine. However, since we’re getting unseasonably warm weather, we decided we’d hang out closer to home (pun intended). If you haven’t been, Mohonk is one of the most beautiful places I’ve discovered on the east coast and boasts some of the best climbing on the entire side of the continent.

Not only did we get this spectacular view, we also performed a rescue. We’ll get more video on that soon… a new 360° Adventure every day. For now, enjoy the scenery and scroll around!

Nice you meeting you out there yesterday! Interesting project you have here, I just caught a glimpse of myself rapping next to you. Thanks again for being up for the rescue, I’m curious to see that footage, if any exists.

Hi Josh, it was a pleasure meeting you as well! I’m very happy that everyone had a happy climbing day! I don’t have any footage of the actual rescue since we were concentrating, better to learn from that experience, eh.

      Cheers
